From June, 2016, our LUISS MBA Alumnus Massimiliano Guzzini, has been appointed as the President of ASSIL (the Association of Italian Lighting Manufacturers).
The key objective of the Association is to bring the position of lighting manufacturers operating in the Italian market at the EU level, where all the decisions influencing industrial strategies are taken.

The Association participates in the working groups of ANIE Federation and Confindustria concerning the environment and energy efficiency. It collaborates with the Ministries responsible for the transposition of the EU Directives, in the planning of industrial policies and the development of national legislation regarding lighting.
ASSIL collaborates with ENEA (Italian National Agency for New Technologies, Energy and Sustainable Economic Development) for the development of studies and projects by providing data, information and advice on the state of the art of lighting technology.

With the degree in Mechanical Engineering, and being a part of the LUISS MBA class of 1997, Massimiliano has had a long international career at iGuzzini.
He first served as the Chief of the Shanghai branch, and later became the Vice Chairman and Chairman at iGuzzini Lighting China.

In 2011 he joined the HQ at iGuzzini in Recanati, first as the Market Development Director and then as the Business Innovation Network Director and theVice President of the company.
